Who
The data controller is Nicola Panero, Cervere (CN), Italy. For questions about personal data: panero.nicola01.np@gmail.com. This is a personal project, separate from nicolapanero.dev, and shares no data, cookies or analytics with it.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics counts visits and Speed Insights measures real page performance. Neither uses cookies. Web Analytics uses a temporary request hash to count visits, discarded after 24 hours according to Vercel; the available statistics are aggregated and not linked to an identifiable person. We collect no custom events.
Cookies
Just one, strictly technical: it is called lang, remembers the chosen language for a year and only applies to this subdomain. It is written only when you choose a language using the selector. No consent is needed; deleting it falls back to the browser language.
Browser storage
The forgia:intro-seen sessionStorage entry avoids replaying the intro animation within the same session. The temporary forgia:remelt entry keeps your language and position on the page during a language switch and is removed by the destination page. Both stay on your device and disappear when the tab closes, without profiling.
GitHub
Project data is read on the server through GitHub's public APIs. The visitor's browser doesn't contact GitHub until a link is followed.
Hosting and contact
Vercel hosts the site and may process IP address, browser, date, time and requested page for operation and security. If you email us, we process your address and message to reply. The site has no forms, accounts or payments.
Purposes and legal basis
Technical data and measurements support site operation, security and improvements: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), where personal data is processed. Email data is used to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where applicable, otherwise the legitimate interest in replying).
Providers and retention
Vercel processes data on our behalf and may process it outside the European Economic Area under its agreements, including standard contractual clauses. Technical logs and statistics follow the provider’s retention policies; the 24 hours apply only to the visitor code. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the request. Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability where applicable and object to processing based on legitimate interest by writing to the controller. We reply within GDPR time limits, normally one month. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority: garanteprivacy.it. We use no advertising, profiling or automated decisions.
